Freedom. It’s the feeling I get when I’m sailing. The breeze blowing through my hair, the call of the gulls performing lazy figure eights in the sky, the fresh air. Why don’t I let myself feel that every day? Even if I’m not out on a sailboat?
Freedom is what we all want. Freedom from trauma, from constant fighting (with others and with ourselves), freedom from everything that holds us back.
The truth is, I have found freedom, and I continue to find it each time I help a couple or an individual discover an inner truth, capturing the inner beauty that they’ve forgotten.
I offer couples and individuals the opportunity to grow and strengthen their bonds, reignite dormant passions, and find peace within themselves and their relationships.
I approach my practice with the same passion and drive that sails me beyond the horizon. My commitment to learning, expanding, and deepening my understanding of what makes people tick and how to foster healing. I’m listening for your authentic voice, and I’m dedicated to helping you discover it for yourselves.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults, couples, and families for over 25 years. My foundational training at Adelphi University in New York was rooted in psychodynamic theory blended with a family systems perspective. Over the years, my approach has expanded to incorporate a blend of attachment theory, Imago Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, Gottman’s Couple Therapy, Ellyn Bader’s Developmental Couple Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
